17th June – House Concert at Dallars

A friend of Irvine Folk Club has decided to give a house concert, info is below.

House Concert at Dallars • 7:30pm Wednesday 17 June, 2026 • £10


Dallars House, a beautiful Georgian mansion dating from the 1770s, by Kilmarnock, is the location for a concert by The John Ward Trio. The concert will feature John’s acclaimed folk songs of the Suffolk land and sea and his wider travels. This concert will showcase material from John’s latest album, as well as classic favourites from the trio’s eclectic repertoire.
With powerful 3-part harmonies, guitar, double bass, mandolin, accordion, and John’s show-stopping bodhran playing, the trio’s performances are authentic and heartfelt, entertaining and delighting audiences across the UK and beyond. Irvine folk club looks forward to welcoming Bob Knight Wednesday 27th of May.

Bob Knight is a highly regarded folk and traditional singer, songwriter, and storyteller based in Aberdeen, Scotland. He is well known across North-East Scotland for performing unaccompanied traditional songs and writing original material in the Scots and Doric languages

18th Mar – Lee Collinson

Irvine Folk Club is looking forward to welcoming Lee Collinson to the club on the 18th March.

“His solo career began in 1987 after experiencing life as a lead guitarist in a number of rock bands. His impact was immediate, captivating audiences at folk clubs and festivals, reaching the BBC ‘Young Folk’ finals – twice, touring in a trio with Keith Hancock and Clive Gregson, and forging a successful solo career with his eclectic repertoire comprising folk and blues in all of its forms.”

18th Feb – Steve Dan Mills

Irvine Folk club looks forward to welcoming back American singer/songwriter Steve Dan Mills Wednesday the 18th February.

“He couples his very powerful vocals with acoustic guitar and harmonica. His masterful story telling, based on his rich and challenging life experiences, lays the groundwork for each song in a most engaging manner. He elicits tears and laughter and instills hope in his audience. He has been touring in the UK in recent years performing in folk clubs and festivals  to rave reviews. “

10th Dec – Skelpt

 

Irvine folk club is looking forward to welcoming Skelpt for the final club night of the year. 

Skelpt are Euan Johnston, Iain Anderson and Andrew Gordon, Getting together in 2023 the band have worked hard on creating an energetic set of music suitable for the biggest festivals and smallest clubs. They each have over 30 years experience in performing and play all over Scotland and Europe, as well as performing as Skelpt the lads perform in various different combinations of bands all with a focus on Scottish music.

The club will start back up again the 7th January back in the Vineburgh Community Centre, Irvine with Pauline Vallance as the guest.

26th Nov – Sunjay

Irvine Folk club is looking forward to welcoming Sunay back to the club Wednesday the 26th of November.

12 Nov – Winter Wilson

Irvine folk club is looking forward to welcoming the popular UK based folk duo Winter Wilson.

“It is in live performance where these two really excel. Kip Winter and Dave Wilson bring a sense of intimacy to every venue, blending superb, often hard-hitting original songs, stunning harmonies and musicianship with sometimes hilarious humour and tales of life on the road.”

There’s been a change to the programme for the following club night which should have seen a return visit from Reg Meuross. Unfortunately, this had to be cancelled but hopefully we’ll be able to rearrange a date. Meanwhile we’re delighted that Sunjay is able to step in at short notice, he will now be performing at the club on Wednesday the 26th November.
